SCOPE OF WORK
MIAMI GREEN LAB
Exhibit A
The collaboration among South Florida Workforce Investment Board (SFWIB), City of Miami
(City), and Miami Dade College (MDC) is to create and maintain a delivery of services for the
creation of green job training programs facilitated at both MDC campuses and the Miami Green
Lab, a project of the City of Miami. These programs will provide knowledge on green subjects to
familiarize individuals on green technologies and environmental studies to enhance their skills.
I. Rules and Responsibilities:
A. SFWIB shall:
• Provide recruitment assistance.
• Identify funding opportunities for green training educational programs.
• Promote the partnerships green jobs training programs
B. City shall:
• Allocate the space for workshops and green job training at the completed site of
the Miami Green Lab. This facility will assist students in recognizing the
components of a green building and learning the skills necessary to more fully
participate in a green economy.
• Create an agreement for use of Green Lab with terms and conditions to be
determined.
• Identify funding opportunities for green training educational programs.
• Promote the partnership's green job training programs.
C. MDC shall:
• Develop curriculums for the educational programs that shall focus on sustainable
strategies to upgrade the skills of workers to compete in a green economy.
Courses offered will be effective for both entry level individuals and
professionals.
• Award students who have completed the course with either CEUs (continuing
education units) and/or an industry recognized certificate.
• Identify funding opportunities for green training educational programs.
• Promote the partnerships green jobs training programs.
