VACATION AND CLOSURE OF A PORTION OF AN EASEMENTS, BETWEEN
DOUGLAS ROAD AND SOUTHWEST 38th AVENUE AND BETWEEN
PEACOCK AVENUE AND SOTH DIXIE HIGHWAY.
Pursuant to Section 55-15 (c) of the Miami City Code, the Planning Department
has reviewed the proposed street vacation and closure to determine whether it is
in the public interest, or whether the general public would benefit from the
vacation of the right-of-way.
The following findings have been made:
• It is found that this application was presented to the Plat and Street
Committee and the tentative Plat was approved with conditions.
pt -11 • It is found that the proposal is a strip of land adjacent to South Dixie Highway
and it is not developed.
• It is found that no public benefits has been provided as part of this
application, but the land is owned by Miami -Dade County and the Florida
Department of Transportation has determined that additional right of way is
not necessary for the South Dixie Highway expansion.
Based on these findings, the Planning Department recommends approval
of the request subject to the following condition:
1. Any future development on the property contained within the limits
of the proposed plat must maintain the same number of parking
spaces on site for cars of the Metrorail users
