HomeMy WebLinkAboutText File ReportCrystal Report Viewer City of Miami Text File Report Page 1 of 1 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File ID: 08-00873 Type: Resolution Status: Passed Enactment #: R-08-0463 Enactment Date: 7/24/08 Version: 1 Introduced: 7/18/08 Controlling Body: Office of the City Clerk A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, WITH THE LOWEST RESPONSIVE AND RESPONSIBLE BIDDER, PURSUANT TO INVITATION FOR BIDS NO. 07-08-017, TO BE RECEIVED AUGUST 4, 2008, AT 2:00 P.M., FOR THE PROJECT ENTITLED "MELREESE CLUBHOUSE AND RESTAURANT, B-30566;" ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM NO. B-30566. WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") would like to construct a new Melreese Golf Course Club House and Restaurant Facility, consisting of a gross building area of approximately 17,459 square feet, including indoor and outdoor spaces, breezeways, a courtyard, tennis courts and a covered open air perimeter; and WHEREAS, the Capital Improvements Department ("the Department") issued formal Invitation for Bids No. 07-08-017, on June 18, 2008, in order to solicit construction firms to build the facility; and WHEREAS, bids are due at the Office of the City Clerk on August 4, 2008 at 2:00 P.M.; and WHEREAS, due to the time sensitive nature of the project, it will be necessary to execute an Agreement with the lowest responsive and responsible bidder as soon as possible; and WHEREAS, this Resolution seeks authorization for the City Manager to execute an Agreement with the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, as determined by a due diligence review by the Department; and WHEREAS, funds are available from Capital Improvements Project ("CIP") B-30566, entitled "Melreese Clubhouse and Restaurant," NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The City Manager is authorized( 1) to execute an Agreement, in substantially the attached form„ with the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, pursuant to Invitation for Bids No. 07-08-017, to be received August 4, 2008, for the project entitled "Melreese Clubhouse and Restaurant, B- 30566. Section 3. Funds for said project are allocated from CIP Project B-30566. Section 4.
