HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-09-0403Vop City of Miami F .. , 'Ir* Legislation i 0 R �O Resolution: R-09-0403 File Number: 09-00945 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com Final Action Date: 9/10/2009 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION DECLARING NO OBJECTION AND SUPPORTING MIAMI-DADE COUNTY RESOLUTION NO. 881-09, ADOPTED JUNE 30, 2009, URGING THE CITY OF MIAMI TO CODESIGNATE SOUTHWEST 32ND AVENUE FROM GRAND AVENUE TO DAY AVENUE, MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS "YVONNE M. MCDONALD ROAD;" FURTHER DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO TRANSMITA COPY OF THIS RESOLUTION TO THE HEREIN DESIGNATED OFFICES. WHEREAS, pursuant to Miami -Dade County Resolution No. 881-09, adopted June 30, 2009, requesting an honorary designation of a road located within the City of Miami, the Miami City Commission has no objection to the proposed street codesignation of Southwest 32nd Avenue from Grand Avenue to Day Avenue, Miami, Florida, as "Yvonne M. McDonald Road." NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble of this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The Miami City Commission declares it has no objection to Miami -Dade County Resolution No. 881-09, adopted June 30, 2009, and supports the codesignation of Southwest 32nd Avenue from Grand Avenue to Day Avenue, Miami, Florida, as "Yvonne M. McDonald Road." Section 3. The City Clerk is directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to the Departments of Police, Fire -Rescue, Solid Waste, the Miami -Dade County Public Works Department and the United States Postal Service. Section 4.
