'nrpose of Item:
The nature of this item is to establish a term contract for the provision of Vehicle Decals and .Striping
for the Department of General Services Administration, with International Nameplate U_S_ Inc., for an
initial contractual period of one (1) year with opfions to renew for three {3) additional one (1) year
periotic. The City intends to use this contract to purchase bulk materials :and perform its own
insUlation. however, the City shall have the option to provide .installation of decals and stuping, on
an as needed, when needed basis, allocating funds from the various sources -of funds 4 the user
department, subject to availability of funds and budgetary approval at time of need.
Background Information:
The Purchasing Department bas identified a need to establish a citywide contract for Vehicle .Decals
and Striping. On June S, 2009, the Purchasing Department issued Invitation for Bid No. 146110. As
required by the Procurement Code, the UB was advertised .and issued on line. On July 1, 2009,,at the
bid :opening, five �5) bidders, responded, and the bids have been tabulated_ International Nameplate
U.S. Inc, submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid per specifications and is therefore
recommended for the award- The total estimated annual amount is$110,000.
