A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXERCISE THE CITY OF MIAMI'S ("CITY'S") OPTIONS TO
RENEW THE TERM OF THE LEASE BETWEEN THE CITY AND SCOTT
ROBERTS MCNARY AND BETTY MARIE MCNARY ("LESSOR"), FOR THE USE
OF 3,900 SQUARE FEET OF OFFICE SPACE AND RELATED PARKING AREAS
LOCATED AT 1150 SOUTHWEST 22 STREET, MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA
(THE "LEASE"), UPON THE SAME TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE LEASE,
SUBJECT TO BUDGETARY FEASIBILITY; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE
ANNUAL ALLOCATION OF URBAN SEARCH AND RESCUE GRANTS
("GRANTS") UPON ACCEPTANCE OF THE GRANTS BY THE CITY
COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, on March 8, 2007, the City Commission by Resolution No. 07-0117, authorized the
City of Miami ("City") to enter into a lease with Scott Roberts McNary and Betty Marie McNarie
("Lessor"), for the use of 3,900 square feet of office space and related parking areas located at 1150
Southwest 22 Street, Miami -Dade County, Florida (the "Lease"); and
WHEREAS, the Lease granted the City five (5) one (1) year options to renew the term of the
Lease, upon the same terms and conditions of the Lease, subject only to the Rent increase provided
for in Section 3 of the Lease; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to authorize the City Manager to exercise the options to renew the
term of the Lease, upon the same terms and conditions of the Lease, subject only to budgetary
feasibility; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 3 of the Lease, the Rent for the first renewal period shall be
$8,089.43 monthly, for a total annual rent of $97,073.16; and
WHEREAS, funding for the five (5) renewal terms shall come from the annual allocation of Urban
Search and Rescue Grants, upon acceptance of the grants by the City Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby
adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized{1} to exercise the City's options to renew the term of
the Lease, upon the same terms and conditions of the Lease, subject only to the Rent increase
provided for in Section 3 of the Lease, allocating funds from approved Urban Search and Rescue

Grants ("Grants") upon acceptance of the Grants by the City Commission.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor. {2)

Footnotes:
{1) The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter
and Code provisions.
{2) If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
