LEGAL DESCRIPTION See supporting documentation. PETITION An amendment to Ordinance 11000, modifying Article 6, Section 627, "Midtown Miami Special District" in order to permit, at intersections, retail and office uses in mixed-use buildings, containing a repealer provision, a severability clause, and providing for an effective date. PLANNING RECOMMENDATION Approval. BACKGROUND AND ANALYSIS This amendment will allow the inclusion of retail and offices uses to mixed-use buildings at the intersections of the SD -27 "Midtown Miami Special District". This change will promote further the intent of the district by having a wider range of pedestrian activities which in effect will facilitate for a more lively pedestrian street life. PLANNING ADVISORY BOARD Recommended approval to the City Commission on July 23, 2007 by a vote of 7-0. CITY COMMISSION Passed First Reading on September 27, 2007.
