AGENDA ITEM SUMMARY FORM CONTINUED
Background Information:
The goals of the Consolidated Plan are to provide decent housing, develop suitable living
environments and expand economic opportunities. It assesses the City's housing needs, barriers to
affordable housing, community development needs, identifies resources to address these needs, and
establishes the structure to implement the plan.
The Consolidated Plan process combines the planning and application aspects of the CDBG, HOME,
ESG and HOPWA formula programs into a single application for funds.
The Annual Action plan for FY 2009-2010 introduces the funding plan to achieve the goals of the
Consolidated Plan for the CDBG, HOME, ESG, and HOPWA formula grants.
