Total Program - Average of 450.Businesses served annually - past 3 years (Grant Requirements 190) Between 60% and 65% are within the City of Miami (12 -month period) This would be over 270 businesses within the city. 2. Direct Technical Assistance and one-on-one sessions - 210 Businesses served annually. 70% are in Miami -Dade County with Roughly 60%, sometimes 65% from within the City of Miami. City's Proposal should indicate 115 to 120 to be served. (12 -month period) o How many jobs will be created? 1. The program calls for 37 jobs the first 9 -month period and 66 for the 12 - months of 2009. 2. We have always exceeded those goals. Again it is conceivable that those number of jobs will be created (and be surpassed) within the City of Miami. o How many contracts obtained 1. Our goal for contracts are in value (not number of contracts) 2. The goals are $12.781,000 million for the 9 -mo period in 2008 and $17,041,000 for 2009. It is more difficult to pinpoint which businesses will get contracts, but we can use a 406/o measure for the City of Miami. o Loans created/obtained? 1. Our financial goal for loans/bonding, etc. are in value (not number of approvals) 2. The goals are $8,519,500 for 2008 and $11,359,500 for 2009 o Increase in Sales 1 We have a goal for Increase in Sales - $1,119,000 in 2008 and $1,492,000 in 2009. These can be achieved in the City of Miami alone. o Seminars/sessions administered? 1 This is not a required goal under the MBEC program. However, we have instituted a weekly seminar goal (standing Wed. seminars and others to be co -hosted) 2 Our self-imposed goals 2008 - 32 weekly seminars; 3 quarterly; 1 grand opening and 1 major MEDWeek Conference = 37 group sessions, 3 2009 - 40 weekly seminars; 4 quarterly and 1 MEDWeek = 45 group sessions Target market: Ethnic minority owned firms, with an emphasis on those earning $500,000 or more in sales, and/or firms showing rapid growth potential (Strategic Growth Initiative or SGI firms). Overall, the program's fee schedule is based on serving companies from below $100,000 in sales to over $5,000,000. Where a small business that is not ethnic minority-owned would fit? That is where M. Gill & Associates would come in to provide that service, and if there is a cash contribution for fees, we would provide those services free of cost.
