Resolution No. 09-0353, relating to the teen of the contract

Please be advised that Resolution No. 09-0353, adopted July 23, 2009, contains a
scrivener's error, relating to the term of the contract.
The contract should read as follows: "for an initial contract period of two (2) years, with
the option to renew for three (3) additional one (1) year periods".
The legislation is attached and will be scanned into Legistar.

A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASE OF POLICE SERVICE DOGS, ON A SPOT MARKET, AS -NEEDED
CONTRACTUAL BASIS, FROM THE PRE -QUALIFIED VENDOR, POLICE
SERVICE DOGS, INC., AND ANY OTHER ADDITIONAL PRE -QUALIFIED
VENDOR, PURSUANT TO SECTIONS 2.7 AND 2.12 OF INVITATION FOR BID
NO. 146111, FOR AN INITIAL CONTRACT PERIOD OF TWO (2) YEARS, WITH
THE OPTION TO RENEW FOR THREE (3) ADDITIONAL ONE (1) YEAR
PERIODS; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE VARIOUS SOURCES OF FUNDS
FROM THE USER DEPARTMENTS AND AGENCIES, SUBJECT TO THE
AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS AND BUDGETARY APPROVAL AT THE TIME OF
NEED.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The purchase of Police Service Dogs, on a spot market, as -needed contractual
basis, from the pre -qualified vendor, Police Service Dogs, Inc., and any other additional pre -qualified
vendor, pursuant to Sections 2.7 and 2.12 of Invitation for Bid No. 146111, for an initial contract period
of two (2) years, with the option to renew for three (3) additional one (1) year periods, is authorized,
with funds allocated from the various sources of funds from the user departments and agencies,
subject to the availability of funds and budgetary approval at the time of need.
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature
of the Mayor.{1 }
Footnotes:
{1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
