Thompson References: April 2, 2009 Agenda City Clerk Enclosures List of members, Applications The Historic and Environmental Preservation (HEP) Board administers the environmental and historic preservation ordinances, and serves as a quasi-judicial instrument in certain areas. Members of the HEP Board must be experienced individuals representing specific professions related to the Board's responsibilities. Appointments must be made from individuals who have applied. Two (2) appointments are required at this time. Our office previously advertised for applications in a newspaper of general circulation, as required by the City Code Sec. 62- 187(c). Because Board members must be appointed in these specific positions, the following category(s) for the Commissioner(s), based upon previous appointments, is listed below: Nominated: Cates Annointment Annlicant Commissioner 1. Architectural 1. Timothy A. Barber, ** please see attached the Gonzalez Historian incumbent, whose term names of persons who applied for each category, 2. Alternate expired 3/12/09. and their respective 2. Miguel Seco, incumbent, applications. whose term expired 3/12/09; further, as he has served since 10/27/94, he would re uire a 5/5ths term waiver. For your convenience, we are including a copy of the current membership of said board and application from each applicant. By copy of this memorandum, we are requesting the Agenda Office to place this issue on the April 2, 2009 Commission agenda. This matter was deferred from the March 12, 2009 Commission meeting.
