A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS
PROGRAM ("HOME") FUNDS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,000,000, FROM THE CITY
OF MIAMI DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT HOME HOUSING
ACTIVITIES; ALLOCATING SAID FUNDS TO THE FIRST TIME HOMEBUYER
PROGRAM FOR DOWN PAYMENT AND CLOSING COST ASSISTANCE, AS
SPECIFIED IN EXHIBIT "A", ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED.
WHEREAS, on June 5, 2008, the City Commission allocated $1,000,000 in Home Investment
Partnerships Program ("HOME") funds to the First Time Homebuyer Program for the provision of
down payment assistance to eligible first home buyers; and
WHEREAS, all funds in the First-time Homebuyer Program are completely committed; and
WHEREAS, the Administration is requesting the amount of $1,000,000 be transferred to the First
Time Homebuyer Program; and
WHEREAS, said amount will be utilized for down payment and closing cost assistance to
homebuyers;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The transfer of HOME funds, in the amount of $1,000,000, from the City of Miami
Department of Community Development HOME Housing Activities and the allocation of said funds to
the First Time Homebuyer Program for down payment and closing cost assistance, as specified in
Exhibit "A", attached and incorporated, is authorized.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{1 }

{1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
