The following section of the IFB has been amended as follows:
IFB Specifications, Section 3.1. SPECIFICATIONS/SCOPE OF WORK:
Warranty Scope of Work:
The City is also interested in a maintenance plan for the installed equipment. The maintenance price
should also be submitted as a fixed price, per site, where a site is one facility with one radio unit. The
yearly maintenance for a point-to-point link, therefore, would cost twice the Unit install maintenance price,
one for each radio in the link. The maintenance should include:
In addition, the following is the City's answers to questions received from prospective bidders:
Q1: What does the City currently have for wireless access points, and what standard(s) is being used?
Al: The scope of work specifically mentions the Tranzeo units we are using for this purpose. As far as access
points, we have a limited number and they are all Cisco access points, but they have absolutely nothing to do
with this bid.
Q2: Will there be any tower climbing? If so how many towers and installation heights?
A2: No, there will be no tower climbing.
Q3: In the maintenance will the city stock the radios on the contractor has to store the radios?
A3: The City will not be storing any replacement parts. The contractor is expected to have replacement radios in
stock, locally warehoused, in order to expedite any repairs required under the maintenance.
Q4: Are all the sites roof tops if so what are the heights?
A4: The sites will all be City buildings, although attachment points could be rooftops, walls, etc. The majority of City
buildings are 1-3 story, with notable exceptions being the main administration building (MRC) which is 10 story,
the Fire Training center which is 5 Story, and the Police Department which is 4 story. Note that it is possible that
*new" City facilities may come online during the course of this agreement at which installations may need to be
performed.
ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE IFB REMAIN THE SAME.
Sincerely,
