Subject: Resolution accepting bid of Envirowaste Services Group, Inc. and retroactively exercising the
options to renew for the project entitled "Citywide Outfall Cleaning_ Project, B-30256"
Purpose of Item:
A Resolution accepting the bid of Envirowaste Services Group, Inc. for the project entitled "Citywide
Outfall Cleaning Project, B-30256" for a two-year period in an annual amount not to exceed $199,995
and further authorizing the City Manager to retroactively exercise the option to renew for two (2)
additional one-year periods, and to accept the executed addendum to said agreement, in the annual
amount not to exceed $199,995, for a total contract amount during the optional years of $399,990,
subject to budgetary approval at the time of need.
Background Information:
On July 28, 2005, the City Commission accepted the bid of Envirowaste Services Group, Inc.I
pursuant to Resolution No. 05-0446, for the project entitled "Citywide Outfall Cleaning Project" for a
two year period in the annual amount not to exceed $199,995, for a total contract amount of $399,990.
The Contract provided an option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year period, however, the
Resolution did not properly allocate the funds for the available option years. This is a housekeeping
item to retroactively exercise the options to renew and allocate funding in the amount of $199,995 for
each option year, for a total contract amount during the optional years of $399,990.
