Economic Stimulus Ordinance

The Department of Capital Improvements Program (CIP) wishes to amend the list of projects under
the Economic Stimulus Program enacted December 12, 2008 by the City Commission. Please see
below scope of work for those projects being added to Attachment A- 6/25/09 (Revised).
Construction
South Police Substation Hurricane Protection Upgrade Project, B-30592
The project consists of providing hurricane protection for the windows and the circular main
front entrance at the 2 -story police substation. Phase I includes the preparation of a design
analysis report to retrofit the building with protective screening and impact resistant
window/glass system. Phase II includes the purchase and installation of a selected system
based on the Phase I report. This project is located at 2200 West Flagler Street.
• North Police Substation Hurricane Protection Upgrade Project, B -30592A
Project consists of providing hurricane protection for the windows and front entrance at the
existing 2 -story police substation. Astorino will provide Design Analysis for retrofitting
building with storm panels, shutters and/or impact resistant glass. This project is located at
1000 NW 62nd Street.
Stadium Parking Garage- CM@Risk, B-30648
The project consists of the construction of the proposed Parking Structures and surface
lots bound by NW 7th Street to the north, NW 3rd Street to the south, NW 17th Avenue to
the west, and NW 14th Avenue to the east. The four parking structures will consist of multi-
level parking structures (designated P1, P2, P3, and P4). In addition there will be six
associated surface parking lots located to the east and west of the site. The P1 and P2
structures will have five parking levels, and the P3 and P4 structures will have six parking
levels (inclusive of the ongrade parking in both cases). The structures will include
approximately 60,000 ft' for retail space on the ground floors of structures P1 and P2.
Fairlawn Storm Sewer Improvements Project, B-50704
The project consists of the construction of a storm sewer system including road
improvements such as damaged sidewalk replacement, damaged curb and/or gutter
replacement, ADA compliant ramp construction, re -sod of swales, milling & resurfacin

Kinloch Storm Sewer Improvements Project, B-50705
The project includes storm sewer and road improvements and is divided into two phases:
Phase I consists of exfiltration trenches, manholes, inlets, cross drains, swale trenches,
and surface restoration. Phase II consists of a connection to an existing outfall, old
exfiltration trenches will be replaced with new ones, manholes, inlets, swale trenches and
surface restoration. Phase I and II will also include road improvements with street blocks
only impacted by the drainage construction.

Dinner Key Marina Dockmaster Building, B-60464
Design and Construction of a new Dock Master's office at Dinner Key Marina. The Design
Phase consists of drawings, permits and specification to accommodate a three story
building facility to serve as the Dinner Key Marina and Harbormaster's (Mooring)
administration building, done in accordance to federal, State, and local building codes. The
first floor will support limited parking, a handicap accessible elevator, laundry facilities,
stairwell access, and storage room. The second floor will house a customer
lounge/computer access area, library, and customer showers/restrooms area and possible
customer convenience store. The third floor will also allow access to an outdoor balcony
with a wing. Total square footage is estimated at 6,900 (Gross Area). The project is located
at 3400 Pan American Drive.
Professional Services Solicitation
• NE 2nd Avenue CEO Services, B-78508
Consultant shall provide construction engineering and observation services as required
during the Construction Work on NE 2nd Avenue. This project is receiving federal
stimulus funds as part of the 2009 American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA)
designed to stimulate the national economy.
