Federal regulations governing CDBG and other HUD programs require that a participating jurisdiction provide citizens with reasonable notice of and
an opportunity to comment on any new allocation and/ or amendment of HUD programs. In addition, the public is advised of the proposed new
allocation(s)/ amendment(s) to the funding of the City program(s) as indicated below:* t $
Discussion and Proposed Resolutions authorizing the acceptance, allocation, and/or transfer of funds for the following agenda Items:*
1. Discussion and Proposed Resolution accepting Fiscal Year ("FY") 2009-2010, United States Department of Housing and Urban Development
"HUD" Entitlement Grant funds under the following pro rams:
Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") $8,273,716
Home Investment Partnerships "HOME") $5,006,326
Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS ("HOPWA") $12,599,526
Emergency Shelter Grant ("ESG") $363,734
2. Discussion and proposed resolution accepting the Section 8 Housing Program funds, in the total amount of $4,394,891 for rental assistance,
and in the amount of $429,519 for program administration, for the total amount of $4,824,410, for FY2009-2010.
3. Discussion and proposed resolution authorizing the allocation of FY2009-2010 HOME funds in the total amount of $5,006,326 in the following
categories: $500,633 for program administration, $1,500,000 for District 1 homeownership activities and $3,005,693 for other housing
programs.
4. Discussion and proposed resolution authorizing the allocation of FY2009-2010 ESG funds in the total amount of $363,734 as follows: $10,912
for program administration; $352,822 to the City of Miami Neighborhood Enhancement Team, Homeless Programs.
5. Discussion and proposed resolution authorizing the allocation of FY2009-2010 CDBG funds, in the total amount of $8,273,716 in the following
categories: $1,654,743 for program administration, $1,241,057 for Public Services, $4,077,916 for Economic Development, and $1,300,000 for
the repayment of Section 108 loans.
6. Discussion and proposed resolution authorizing the allocation of 35 program year (FY2009-2010) CDBG funds in the total amount of
$4,077,916, in the Economic Development category, to theagencies specified below:
