HomeMy WebLinkAboutLegislationFile Number: 09-00602 Final Action Date: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS PROGRAM ("HOME") FUNDS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,006,326, FOR HOUSING PROGRAMS, FOR YEAR 2009-2010, IN THE CATEGORIES AS SPECIFIED IN ATTACHMENT "A", ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED, FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS FOR SAID PURPOSE. WHEREAS, the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development ("U.S. HUD") has advised the City of Miami Department of Community Development that the projected Home Investment Partnerships Program ("HOME") funding for Fiscal Year 2009-2010, in the amount of $5,006,326, is available for distribution; and WHEREAS, the Administration recommends the allocation of HOME funds, in the amount of $5,006,326, for housing programs, for year 2009-2010, in the categories as specified in Attachment "A", attached and incorporated, for the development of affordable housing; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The allocation of HOME funds, in the amount of $5,006,326, for housing programs, for year 2009-2010, in the categories as specified in Attachment "A", attached and incorporated, for the development of affordable housing, is authorized. Section 3. The City Manager is authorized {1} to execute the necessary documents for said purpose. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{2} APPROVED AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS: JULIE O.
