HomeMy WebLinkAboutPre Legislation 2File Number: 08-00799 Enactment Number: R-08-0442 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), APPROVING THE CITY OF MIAMI'S ("CITY") ANNUAL ACTION PLAN FOR FISCAL YEAR 2008-2009, ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT THE CITY'S ANNUAL ACTION PLAN FOR FISCAL YEAR 2008-2009, TO THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL. WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 04-0374, adopted June 10, 2004, the City Commission approved the City of Miami's ("City") Consolidated Plan for Fiscal Years 2004-2009; and WHEREAS, per the Code of Federal Regulations 24 CFR 91.220, all entitlement jurisdictions are required to submit an Annual Action Plan to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development ("U.S. HUD") for the purpose of carrying out its long term strategic plan; and WHEREAS, the Annual Action Plan set forth the overall goals and objectives of the City's Consolidated Plan; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The City's Annual Action Plan for Fiscal Year 2008-2009, attached and incorporated, is approved. Section 3. The City Manager is authorized {1} to submit the City's Annual Action Plan for Fiscal Year 2008-2009 to U.S. HUD for review and approval. Section 4.
