Subject: Invitation for Bid (IFB,) 141109 Summer Food Service Program
Purpose of Item:
The nature of this item is to establish a term contract for the provision of Summer Food Services
Program for the Department of Parks and Recreation, with Master Host d/b/a Greater Miami Catering,
for an initial contractual period of one (1) year with options to renew for two (2) additional one (l )
year periods, under IFB 141109. Allocating funds from the various sources of funds of the user
department, subject to availability of funds and budgetary approval at time of need.
Background Information:
The City of Miami has a need to procure Summer Food Services, for the Department of Parks &
Recreation. On April 16, 2009, the Purchasing Department issued an Invitation for Bid (IFB No.
141109). As required by the Procurement Code, the IFB was advertised and issued on-line. On May
1, 2009, at the bid opening, one (1) bid was submitted, and the bid has been tabulated. The
Purchasing Department is recommending award to Master Host d/b/a Greater Miami Catering, the
sole responsive and responsible bidder, per bid specifications. The estimated annual contract amount
is $500,000.
