Declaration of policy In accordance with the requirements of Miami Dade county ordinance 8237 and/or ordinance 98-30 and resolution no.1049.93, Greater Miami Caterers affirms it's commitment to equal employment opportunity and has submitted an affirmative action plan for the purpose of maintaining that promise with particular emphasis on the minority workforce population and the utilization of minority professional firms, .consultants and/or suppliers. Greater Miami Caterers has always been committed to affirmative action through a natural desire to emphasize the employment, promotion, and training of minority individuals. 'Because our staff has been generally constant throughout the years with little turnover, you can see that we. demonstrate these policies thru our actions. We intend, with no hesitation, to continue to nurture and mature our relationships with our minority employees to allow both of us to grow to our fullest potential with a recipe that includes cooperation, togetherness, effort, justice, fairness, and equal opportunity. One of the management duties of all principals at Greater Miami Caterers is to ensure that the following personnel practices are being satisfied: 1) Take every necessary affirmative action to attract and retain qualified employees, regardless of race, color, place of birth, religion, national origin, sex, age, marital status, veteran and handicapped status, 2) Maintain equitable principles in the recruitment, hiring, training, compensation and promotion of employees, 3) Monitor and review personnel practices to guarantee that equal opportunities are being provided to all employees, regardless of race, color, place of birth, religion, national origin, sex, age, marital status, veteran and handicapped status. Greater Miami Caterers formalized its AAP on July 28, 1977, prior to any mandate requiring tis to do so. We reaffirm our acceptance of these policies on this 28TH day of October, 2008, with the intent to be morally bound. Memorandum From The Firm's President To All Employees (,,Jacqueline Butler, as President am duly responsible for the implementation of Greater Miami Caterers affirmative action policies. I am available daily for contact by employees to discuss any questions they may have in this regard. I take it as a natural progression to make that special effort to hire minorities to fill employment openings. This is done in a shared response to community desires in hopes of bringing minority participation into this counties' economic livelihood. We at Greater Miami Caterers are committed to such actions and publicly state as such. If anyone desires to read our companies stated .policy, a copy of our AAP is located in our office at 4001 N.W. 31 avenue, Miami, Fiorida 33142. Our affirmative action officer is John Olmo, Vice President. Internal procedures to publicize our plan include; 1) Signage of the existance of the plan and it's location displayed next to the employee timeclock, 2.) Signage of the existance of the plan in the office where employement applicants apply for employment, 3.) Notice of the plan is in all employee manuals and 4. ) Review of policies at employees annual review meetings. External procedures to publicize our plan include: 1) Prior filings and publications we have provided Miami -Dade County over the past 31 years and 2.) Notification in filings for employment openings through the wages programs. Policies are put forth thru our actions by hiring a greater number of.minorities. People know that, as in most cases with new employees, that Greater Miami Caterersis recognized by the community as an equal opportunity employer and maintains this reputation by continuous enforcement.
