ADDENDUM NO. 2
IFB NO. 141109 April 24, 2009
PED.RO G. HERNANDEZ
City Manager
Invitation For Bid (IFB) for Summer Food Service Program
70: ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS:
The following changes, additions, clarifications, and deletions amend the Bid Documents of the above captioned IFB,
and shall become an integral part of the Contract Documents. Please note the contents herein and reflect same on the
documents you have on hand.
Q1: On the Invitation for Bid document from the City of Miami it mentions that the City will accept a cashier's check
for the 5% of the total bid amount; but on the Invitation to Bid and Contract Document from the State of Florida it
asks for a bid bond. Can you please let me know if the City will accept a cashier's check?.
Al: Pursuant to Section 2.19, Bid Bond/Surety Bond, of the City's Invitation for Bid document, the following is reflected:
j...j Prospective bidder shall not provide any "alternative" form of bid bond, including but not limited to cash, certified .
checks, letters of credit, or escrow accounts."
Therefore, the City's Invitation for Bid document and the State -of Florida's Invitation to Bid and Contract
Document coincide with the fact that an alternative form of a bid bond, such as a cashier's check, shall not be
accepted.
ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE IFB REMAIN THE SAME.
Sincerely,
Cgenn
