The proposed Resolution is requesting authorization to allot funds to the Law Enforcement Training Trust Fund (LETTF)
from the Law Enforcement Trust Fund (LETF) for the purpose of covering expenses associated with the training of Police
personnel in various areas as approved by the Chief of Police (meaning any type of specialized training ranging from
long-term FBI school, Southern Police Institute (SPI) for executives, Senior Management Institute for Police (SMIP) to
short-term training sessions at the Criminal Justice Institute etc.) to further any professional law enforcement career
development. These funds will pay for applicable training cost such as registration fees, travel, books, tuition, etc.
Please advise if this suffices.
