Background Information: The Florida Department of Health is authorized by Chapter 401, Part II, Florida Statutes, to provide grants to boards of county commissioners for the purpose of improving and expanding pre -hospital emergency medical services within Dade County. This grant will provide new "EMS" equipment, materials supplies and services and computer hardware, software supplies which will enhance the capabilities of the EMS System and improve the level of service provided to the City's residents. Additionally, the funds will be used. for conferences, training and seminars to keep the department abreast of trends and innovations in the EMS field.
