A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE AMENDMENT OF THE CITY OF MIAMI'S LIST OF EXPEDITED
PROJECTS, PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE NO. 13045, ADOPTED DECEMBER 11,
2008, BY REPLACING THE CURRENT "ATTACHMENT A," WITH "ATTACHMENT A-
4/2/09 REVISED," ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED, FOR THE PURPOSES OF
INCLUDING PROJECTS BEING CONSIDERED FOR FEDERAL STIMULUS FUNDS,
OTHER UPCOMING PROJECTS AND SOLICITATIONS, AND TO REMOVE
PROJECTS NO LONGER QUALIFYING FOR THE FEDERAL STIMULUS
PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 13045, adopted December 11, 2008, amending Chapter 18, Article III
of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended ("City Code"), entitled the "Procurement
Ordinance," enacted new Section 18-117 entitled "Economic Stimulus Awards and Agreements"; and
WHEREAS, the new section established measures to stimulate the local economy by creating a
process to expedite the award of professional services agreements and construction contracts for
certain capital improvement projects identified in an "Attachment A", attached and incorporated; anc
WHEREAS, said ordinance authorized the City Manager to advertise for, receive, review, reject,
evaluate responses and award contracts for the listed projects; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said ordinance, the City Commission may add or delete projects from
"Attachment A" by passage of resolutions; and
WHEREAS, as a number of projects are being considered for federal stimulus funds and will
require expedited procurement, the Department of Capital Improvements Program and the City
Manager recommend amending the current "Attachment A," by replacing it with the attached
"Attachment A - 4/2/09 REVISED", which includes all of the stimulus projects being processed
pursuant to Section 18-117 of the City Code, including those under federal consideration, upcoming
solicitations, and construction -ready projects; and
WHEREAS, projects no longer qualifying for the program have been removed from the list;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings found in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The amendment of the City of Miami's list of expedited projects, pursuant to Ordinance
No. 13045, adopted December 11, 2008, by replacing the current "Attachment A", with "Attachment A

- 4/2/09 REVISED", is authorized, for the purposes of including projects being considered for federal
stimulus funds, other upcoming projects and solicitations, and to remove projects no longer qualifying
for the Federal Stimulus Program.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{1 }
Footnotes:
{1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
