Home My WebLink AboutExhibitAMENDMENT NO.1 TO CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FLAGAMWVEST END STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENTS PHASE IIB B-50695 This Amendment No. 1 to the Contract dated January 10, 2008 (the "Contract") between the City of Miami, a municipal corporation of the State of Florida ("CITY"), and Horizon Contractors Inc. ("CONTRACTOR") for the project entitled "Flagami/West End Storm Sewer Improvements, Phase IIB, B-50695," ("PROJECT") is entered into this day of 2009. RECITALS WHEREAS, the Contract was entered into pursuant to the approval of the City Commission by Resolution No. 07-0701 in the total amount of $6,148,006.15, for the for owner contingency and Scope of Work included in the original Contract Documents for the PROJECT; and WHEREAS, it is now necessary to amend the Scope of Work to provide for owner requested changes, regulatory changes, and unforeseen conditions such as underground conflicts with utility lines, specification revisions required by FDOT and additional driveway approaches due to differing site conditions; and, NOW THEREFORE, for the considerations hereinafter set forth: The Agreement dated January 10, 2008, is hereby amended as follows: Scope of Work is hereby revised to include all labor, materials and equipment required to perform the additional work, including.owner requested changes, regulatory changes, and unforeseen conditions such as underground conflicts with utility lines, specification revisions required by FDOT and additional driveway approaches due to differing site conditions. The Additional Work shall be performed in a manner consistent will all applicable terms and conditions of the Contract Documents. 2. CONTRACT SUM is hereby increased by an amount not to exceed $300,000, thereby increasing the total Contract Sum to Six Million Four Hundred Forty Eight Thousand Six Dollars and Fifteen Cents.
