JUSTIFICATION:
The Purchasing Department initiates the request to authorize the piggybacking and use of State of
Florida Contract No. 680-050-09-1, for the police department, to utilize on an as needed when
needed basis. This contract consists of a variety of ammunition and officers' equipment from
various vendors.
HOW IS THIS ITEM GOING TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF SERVICE TO THE
CUSTOMER / CITIZENS?
It is in the best interest of the City of Miami to have ammunition and equipment readily available
to equip their police officers, in a spontaneous time of need to protect and serve the citizens.
