HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-09-0151Vop City of Miami F .. , 'Ir* Legislation i 0 R �O Resolution: R-09-0151 File Number: 09-00310 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com Final Action Date: 3/26/2009 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), ESTABLISHING A NEW SPECIAL REVENUE PROJECT ENTITLED: "2008-2009 MIAMI-DADE COUNTY OFFICE OF GRANTS COORDINATION SOCIAL SERVICES CONTRACT," CONSISTING OF A GRANT FROM THE MIAMI-DADE COUNTY OFFICE OF GRANT COORDINATION, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $34,000,TO PROVIDE OUTREACH, INFORMATION, REFERRAL, ASSESSMENT, AND PLACEMENT SERVICES TO HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS WITHIN THE CITY OF MIAMI THROUGH THE FUNDING OF ONE FULL-TIME POSITION (COMMUNITY OUTREACH SPECIALIST II) AND TWENTY THREE PERCENT (23%) OF ANOTHER POSITION (COMMUNITY OUTREACH SPECIALIST I); AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE SOCIAL SERVICES CONTRACT, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, AND ANY OTHER DOCUMENTS NECESSARY IN ORDER TO IMPLEMENT THE ACCEPTANCE OF SAID GRANT. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The following new Special Revenue Project is established and resources are appropriated as described below: FUND TITLE: 2008-2009 Miami -Dade County Office of Grants Coordination Social Services Contract $34,000 RESOURCES: Miami -Dade County Office of Grant Coordination APPROPRIATIONS: operation of the City of Miami Homeless Assistance $34,000 Program Section 2. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute the Social Services Contract, in substantially the attached form, and any other documents necessary in order to implement the acceptance of said grant. Section 3. These authorizations shall remain valid and outstanding even if the grant award is reduced or increased. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{2} City of Miand Page 1 of 2 File Id. 09-00310 (Version: 1) Printed On: 6/2/2017 File Number: 09-00310 Footnotes: Enactment Number: R-09-0151 {1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code provisions. {2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
