City Manager Page 1 of l ,`tBackground Information: (continued) As per the Agreement, mentioned above, the Scope of Work which will be performed by the City of Miami will be to purchase and install perforated stainless steel screening on seventy-five (75) windows and accordion shutters on four (4) doors and the glass block wall at the front entrance to the North District Police Station, located at 1000 N.W. 62"d Street; If deemed necessary, wind protection will be provided on any other openings such as skylights, vents, louvers and exhaust fans. The Agreement expired on September 30, 2008, and The State of Florida, Department of Division of Emergency Management ("DEM"), desires to reinstate and modify this Agreement by extending it to March 31, 2009; furthermore, modify Attachment "A", Budget and Scope of Work decreasing the Federal funds by $12,393.00 from the original grant total of $89,298.00 to the modified total of $76,905.00. Consequently, the City's match decreases $3,098.00 to $19,226.00 from $22,324.00.1 Further, authorizing the City Manager to extend and modify any other amendments or extensions on all matters except dealing with funding changes. According to grant stipulations, said funds will be utilized by the City of Miami in order to complete the Scope of Work, as set forth in Attachment "A".
