Purpose of Item: The nature of this item is to establish a term contract for the procurement of Waste Oil, Antifreeze, Non -Hazardous Petroleum Impacted Products, Collection, Disposal and Recycling, Citywide, with JAM Environmental & Vacuum Services, LLC, for an initial contractual period of two (2) years with options for renewal for two (2) additional one year periods, on an as needed, when needed basis, under IFB 11005 1,2. Allocating funds from the various sources of funds from the user departments and agencies, authorizing said services as needed, subject to availability of funds and budgetary approval at the time of need. Background Information: The City of Miami has a need to procure Waste Oil, Antifreeze, Non -Hazardous Petroleum Impacted Products, Collection, Disposal and Recycling, Citywide. On January 5, 2009, the Purchasing Department issued an Invitation for Bids (IFB No. 110051). As required by the Procurement Code, the IFB was advertised and issued on-line. On February 4, 2009, at the bid opening, three (3) bidders submitted their bids, and the bids have been tabulated. The Purchasing Department is recommending award to JAM Environmental & Vacuum Services, LLC, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder per bid specifications.
