Thompson City Clerk Subject: Historic and Environmental Preservation Board References: October 16, 2008 Agenda Enclosures: List of members, Applications The Historic and Environmental Preservation (HEP) Board administers the environmental and historic preservation ordinances, and serves as a quasi-judicial instrument in certain areas. Members of the HEP Board must be experienced individuals representing specific professions related to the Board's responsibilities. Appointments must be made from individuals who have applied. One (1) appointment is required at this time. Our office previously advertised for applications in a newspaper of general circulation, as required by the City Code Sec. 62-187(c). Because Board members must be appointed in these specific positions, the following category(s) for the Commissioner(s), based upon previous appointments, is listed below: Nominated: Appointment M, Applicant Chair Sanchez Architect or 1. Vacancy (due to the Architect resignation of Lourdes names of persons who Historian Solera). applied for each category, and their respective applications. For your convenience, we are including a copy of the current membership of said board and application from each applicant. By copy of this memorandum, we are requesting the Agenda Office to place this issue on the October 16, 2008 Commission agenda. This matter was deferred from the May 8, 2008 and September 11, 2008 Commission meetings.
