As I stated above, I have served on the South Miami Planning Board, so I have knowledge of how planning and zoning decisions are made. I also currently work for the South Florida Water Management District, which is a state agency with water -use planning functions. In addition, I have a law degree and a bachelor's. degree in political ,.science, both of which me understand how planning and zoning boards function as advisory and quasi- judicial boards in the local government framework.
