RE: Major Use Special Permit Application for La Quinta y La Ocho _ 504 SW 8th Street
Dear Mrs. Fernandez:
This law firm represents Brickell Square, LLC, the property owner (the
"Applicant"), in relation to the referenced applications for a Major Use Special Permit
(MUSP), an amendment to the Comprehensive Neighborhood Plan (CNP) and a
rezoning. This letter shall serve as the Applicant's initial letter of intent.
The Applicant is requesting a Major Use Special Permit for a mixed-use project as
more specifically described in the enclosed application and project description. The
Applicant is also requesting a redesignation of the property from Medium Density
Multifamily Residential to Restricted Commercial on the Comprehensive Neighborhood
Plan, and a rezoning from R-3 Multifamily Medium -Density Residential to C -1
Restricted Commercial, with an SD -25 SW 8t1, Street Overlay District. These approvals
are .necessary in order to develop the property in accordance with the enclosed plans for
La Quinta y La Ocho.
We respectfully request your favorable review and recommendation in relation
to the enclosed application for a Major Use Special Permit and the application for a
Comprehensive Plan Amendment rezoning of the property,
