Snacks for After School Pro

Justification for Award/Contract:
This contract will approve the selected vendor to provide snacks for the children participating in the afterschool program. Through this
program the Parks Department is able to serve approximately 218,000 snacks during the course of a year. Approximately 25 park sites
participate in the after school snack program and approximately 1200 kids receive snacks on a daily basis. Many of the children
participating in the after school program are from low income families and the USDA and DOH approved snack is a very important part
of their health and well being. It is the State of Florida, Department of Health's goal to provide as many children as possible with
healthv meals.
