Invitation For Bid (IFB) for Snacks for After School Program
TO: ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS:
The following changes, additions, clarifications, and deletions amend the Bid Documents of the above captioned IFB,
and shall become an integral part of the Contract Documents. Please note the contents herein and reflect same on the
documents you have on hand.
Q1: On the Florida Department of Health Formal Invitation to Bid (ITB), Standard Contract FY 2008-2009,
page 2 about two/thirds of the way down the page, the contract dates are missing. Please advise.
A1: Section 2.3 "Term of Contract", of the City's Invitation for Bid No. 122066, states as follows: "The Contract shall
commence upon the date of notice of award and shall be effective for two (2) years with the option to extend for
two (2) additional one (1) year periods, subject to the availability of funds for succeeding fiscal years."
Q2: Since the existing bid for this program is public, is there a way I can either request a copy of the bid or
come to your office to look at it?
A2: For the convenience of all prospective bidders, enclosed please find a copy of the current contract with Greater
Miami Caterers.
Q3: I have a question regarding IFB #122066. The city requires that I pay my Employees a Minimum wage. All
of my drivers own their own vans. Therefore, I do not pay them by the hour, but by the stop and for their
mileage. Would this disqualify my bid?
A3: No, this will not disqualify your bid because pursuant to Section 1.39, Florida Minimum Wage, the minimum
wage is only applicable to hourly employees.
Q4: What are the dates for this contract?
A4: Section 2.3 "Term of Contract", of the City's Invitation for Bid No. 122066, states as follows: "The Contract shall

two (2) additional one (1) year periods, subject to the availability of funds for succeeding fiscal years."
Q5: The posted delivery time for all the locations is 12:00 noon with 26 locations, delivery to all 26 at 12 noon
would be very expensive, what is the delivery time window? Example between 12 and 2 pm or 11:30 am
to 1:30 pm.
A.5: As shown in Attachment 6 of the Florida Department of Health Formal Invitation to Bid (ITB), Standard Contract
FY 2008-2009, the delivery time window for all locations is between 12:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Q6: What is the price being paid for an individual unit of after school snack for the current contract?
A& The price being paid for individual units under the current contract is $ 0.65.
Q7: What company currently has this contract?
A7 The current contract was awarded to Greater Miami Caterers, Inc.
ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE IFB REMAIN THE SAME.
