Re: Extension Request for Townhome Project
NW 15 Ave and NW 60 Streets
Dear Ms. Pinkhasov;
We are requesting an extension for the commencement and completion of construction
for our townhome project located on NW 15 Ave and NW 60 Street. This project has
extraordinary circumstances due to the proposed Green Design and expected LEED
designation.
We are in the process of having the building system that would help us achieve the LEED
designation cerfiff&d for cons tion tough the City of Mia=mi Building Department on
a smaller home project located at 1288 NW 55 St. The solar component to the project
has already received approval. Once the complete building system is approved, we will
be able to finalize the townhome design documents and proceed with the permit process.
We estimate approximately 30 days to complete this approval process; after which
townhome design schedule is 60 to 90 days and permit processing with expedited service
30 days. We estimate the construction schedule to be approximately 270 days from
permit receipt.
Due to the level of additional research and additional documentation required for a Green
Project and LEED Certification we asking that you grant the extension of time to
complete this project. A Green Home has many long term benefits for the homeowner,
the community and the environment.
