HomeMy WebLinkAboutLegislationFile Number: 09-00060 Final Action Date: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED JANUARY 7, 2009, PURSUANT TO INVITATION FOR BID NO. 110079, FROM CARLON INC., D/B/A BROWARD NELSON FOUNTAIN SERVICE, THE LOWEST RESPONSIVE AND RESPONSIBLE BIDDER, FOR THE PURCHASE OF BULK CO2 GAS ON A STAY FILL PROGRAM, ON A CITYWIDE, AS -NEEDED CONTRACTUAL BASIS, FOR AN INITIAL CONTRACT PERIOD OF ONE (1) YEAR, WITH THE OPTION TO RENEW FOR THREE (3) ADDITIONAL ONE-YEAR PERIODS; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE VARIOUS SOURCES OF FUNDS OF THE USER DEPARTMENTS, SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS AND BUDGETARY APPROVAL AT THE TIME OF NEED. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The bid received January 7, 2009, pursuant to Invitation for Bid No. 110079, from Carlon Inc., d/b/a Broward Nelson Fountain Service, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, for the purchase of Bulk CO2 Gas on a Stay Fill Program, on a Citywide, as -needed contractual basis, for an initial contract period of one (1) year, with the option to renew for three (3) additional one-year periods, is accepted, with funds allocated from the various sources of funds of the user departments, subject to the availability of funds and budgetary approval at the time of need. Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{1} APPROVED AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS: JULIE 0. BR CITY ATTOORNEY Footnotes: {1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. if the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
