Whal is the approximate volume '(in pounds) currently being collected on a bi-weekly or monthly basis? Rejection of Responses, The City may reject a Response for any of the following reasons: 3) Response does not conform to the requirements of the Formal Solidialion. Q7. Under the Specifications/Scope of Work, page 33 of the Invitation to Bid, under Scales — the vendor must use•a certified scale to weigh the material to be shredded. Could the City clarify which entity would provide such certification to meet your requirements and how often should it be done? A7. The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Standards, Bureau of Weights and Measures, is responsible for inspecting measuring devices. All scales shall be maintained in such calibration as prescribed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology, pursuant to Florida Statutes, Chapters 531.39 and 531.40. The City reserves the right to have the scale tested for accuracy at the City's discretion ,and expense. In the event, the scale is determined to be inaccurate, the Contractor shall reimburse the testing expense to the City, and face possible contract termination. (See attached).
