ON-SITE IVIDBILE SHREDDING SERMES
TD: ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS:
The following changes, additions, clarifications, and deletions amend the Invitafi(m to Bid (IFB)
documents of the above captioned IFB, and shall become an integral part of the Contract Documents
Please note the contents herein and reflect same on the documents you have or. hand.
Specifications/,Scope of Work needs to be amended to add the following sarvice:

Q1. Would a company be considered as a candidate for the City's sensitive document
shredding without being certified by the National Association of Information Destruction,
Jnr.., (NAID)?
Al. No, pursuant to Section 2.8 Bidders Minimum Qualifications, bidders shall: (1) Be
(:ertlfied by the. Nlational Association of Information Destruction, Inc.. (I :JAIL);.
Q2. Can you provide a copy of your current contract?
A2., Yes, a copy of current contract has been attached.
Q3. Do you have the Mal number of containers per style?
.A3. C;unently, the City utilizes approximately thirty-two (32) containers that sore a 50 gallon
oaG. The containers are made of wood and are of the following dimensions: 2� 6" Feet
Deep x 6" Feet Wide x 4' Feet in Height.

04. Whal is the approximate volume '(in pounds) currently being collected on a bi-weekly or
monthly basis?
A4. 11 is unknown the total number collected bi-weekly or monthly, but approximately 30,000
pounds were collected this past fiscal year (October 1, 2007 i September 30, 2008).

A6. Pursuant to Section 1.34 Evaluation of Responses, Letter A. Rejection of

The City may reject a Response for any of the following reasons:

Q7. Under the Specifications/Scope of Work, page 33 of the Invitation to Bid, under Scales —
the vendor must use•a certified scale to weigh the material to be shredded. Could
the City clarify which entity would provide such certification to meet your requirements
and how often should it be done?
A7. The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Standards,
Bureau of Weights and Measures, is responsible for inspecting measuring devices. All
scales shall be maintained in such calibration as prescribed by the National Institute of
Standards and Technology, pursuant to Florida Statutes, Chapters 531.39 and 531.40.
The City reserves the right to have the scale tested for accuracy at the City's discretion
,and expense. In the event, the scale is determined to be inaccurate, the Contractor shall
reimburse the testing expense to the City, and face possible contract termination. (See
attached).
ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE IFB REMAIN THE SAME.
