Sharon Kirby Please vote for this proposed regulation. I was shocked to discover that someone had issued permission for a giant LED advertising sign to be erected in our neighborhood. We've only recently worked with the operators of Kaseya Center to reduce the amount of tight blasting into our windows at all hours of the day and night - only to find that the city had allowed construction of a tight source even bigger and brighter that would interfere with thousands of residents of the Park West neighborhood. This is not a theoretical issue - construction of the billboard has already commenced in the park just off the 1-395 Bridge to Miami Beach - and it's in Land belonging to Maurice Ferre Park. This construction was started without notice or consultation with anyone in our neighborhood. This type of Lighting is completely unacceptable to the tens of thousands of people who Live downtown. Please support FR-1, which would stop this project and prevent others Like it. Oversized and brightly it disturbing the view as well as lighting the buildings in a way where we won't be able to have our blinds down or enjoy the view.
