The City of Miami wants to demolish many of Miami Homes due to
6711 Charleston building permits that the City lost. Half of Miami would be
Anny Valdes St demolished, leaving long time Miami residents without their Homes.
We are requesting to please stop that and do the ordinance so Miami
Homes are not demolished. Thank you.

1 would like to express my support for the proposed rezoning of my
neighborhood. Specifically, 1 endorse the adjustment that permits an
increase in residential units per square foot. Given the proximity of
my property to the Vizcaya train station, 1 suggest the reconsideration
of parking minimum requirements. Removing these requirements
3536 SW 1st Ave. could potentially lower construction costs, promote the development
Luis Ruvira Miami FL, 33145 of more affordable housing, and contribute to reduced car
dependency. Moreover, within reasonable limits, 1 advocate for an
increase in density, up to a maximum of 8 floors, to facilitate diverse
transportation options and accommodate future infrastructure
initiatives. Given the prevailing housing crisis in the city, 1 believe that
this location is well -suited for an elevation in height and habitational
density. 1 respectfully request the approval of this rezoning proposal.

I want to share my COMPLETE SUPPORT on the re -zoning and
additional residential construction in the area. It is greatly needed
and I DO NOT want my street (SW 1st Ave) to be excluded from this
re -zoning project. The city is facing a major habitational crisis, and
the block directly beside the train station (where my house is), is
crucial to this need. Close to public transportation, parks, access to
highway, etc
I support this legislation but think that commission should not
provide a restriction on dates like work commenced prior to
September 1982 or 50% setback as there are many existing properties
not only with unpermitted work prior to March 1st, 2002 but where
the City failed to keep the records safe from flood, fire, destruction,
deterioration, etc; therefore, putting this restriction will continue
making difficult for homeowners and properties to comply in
obtaining permits that don't exist. City microfilms records have
problems that extend to years 2000. therefore if the commissioners
allow ordinance and take away the restriction of year 1982 many
needed resident can legalize their properties. Increasing from 25 to
50% variance is a great idea but please keep in mind that there are
also many properties that were even constructed in the property line
back in the day and have been there for over 30 + years. It's unfair
with the property or the property owner that these properties are
unable to get resolution if there are no permits found. kindly, please
vote yes for this resolution and if possible consider providing amnesty
to all properties with permits done prior to March 2002 and consider
allowing the existing set back of the property as long as it meets the
South Florida Building Code.
I am strongly in favor and express my total support to the re -zoning of
the area to allow the building of more residential units per sqft. My
address is close to public transportation, parks (being built) and the
underline. Given the current housing crisis the city faces, this location
is perfect to pursue and promote an increased height and
habitational density. I ask this motion to rezoning is approved.
I am in favor and I support the ordinance. Keep in count that many
microfilm records were ruined by hurricane Andrew.

Hello, I would want to express my desire to see the ZONING CHANGE
APPROVED for the area of my house with no area of preservation. I
believe my area should allow for more building and increased heights,
and I support this initiative by the city. Thank you
Hello, I live at 1800 Biscayne Plaza (275 NE 18th St) and I do not
support the proposed increase in density in this neighborhood. This
area is already packed with people and new buildings going up
everywhere you look. There is so much noise and dust from the
constant construction. It is diminishing the quality of life in this
neighborhood. It would be great to keep some green spaces that our
city very much needs. Edgewater does not need to become the next
Brickell. This is a very family -friendly neighborhood. An influx of
residents in this area will only increase the cost of living and
eventually push out the hard-working people of this neighborhood.

There are many people struggling in my building to afford the
constantly rising HOA rates due to rising insurance and maintenance
costs. We have line items for the construction of the building that is
going up directly next to our building. Not only is this hurting our
bank accounts, but will also lower the quality of life in my building as
the construction of this new building will be directly next to our pool.
Please reconsider increasing the density. There are real people
affected. I own my condo and I love where I live. I don't want to
eventually get pushed out of my neighborhood because of rising costs
