Copy of Draft Resolution
Traditionally, Exposition Corporation of America, and a
predecessor, Miami International Boat Show have conducted
an annual boat show which included the use of Pier 5 at
Dinner Key Marina for the in -the -water display of boats.
Passage of a Resolution by the City Commission is required
to direct the regular tenants of Pier 5 to vacate their
assigned berths for the period of the show and to author-
ize contract negotiations between the City Manager and
the Exposition Corporation of America for the use of Pier 5.
The Resolution should be placed before the Commission for
passage no later than the June commission meeting in order
that the tenants of Pier 5 may be advised of the require-
ment to vacate their berths at least 60 days prior to the
show in accordance with conditions of their lease.
This Department recommends the adoption of the attached
Resolution which is an up -dated copy of Resolutions used
for this purpose in past years.
