Howard V, Gary, Director C"` V " Department of Management and Hudget (5) dune 30j 1978 Proposed Ordinance to Transfer Three (3) Positions to the Police Department Prom the Department of Computers and Communications It is recommended that the positions of Keypunch Operator I, Keypunch Operator II and Clerk III be transferred from the Department of Computers and Communications to the Police Department. These positions were budgeted in the Police Depart- ment for Fiscal Year 1976-77. Due to reorganization of departmental responsibilities these positions were budgeted for Fiscal Year 1977-78 in the Department of Computers and Communications. The work generated by these positions is primarily for the Police Department. Therefore, it is agreed by both departments to transfer these positions to the Police Department. Along with the positions, an amount of $23,959 should be transferred (Refer to Attachments 1 and 2). Details concerning the proposed position transfers are discussed in the attached memoranda dated. January 26 and March 14, 1978 from Eric Wilson, Acting Director, Department of Computers and Communications to Adam Klimkowski, Acting Chief of Police, and in the March 22, 1978 memorandum from Eric Wilson to Howard Gary. The attached proposed ordinance, therefore, transfers the above mentioned posi- tions and the $23,959 in unexpended salaries and other related costs from the Department of Computers and Communications to the Police Department, effective March 12, 1978. pvg CITY COMMISSION MEETING OF J U L 131978' ORDINANCE NO. 2nd READING.,..
