Resolution
Plaintiff, Lorenzo Colli, and his wife, Diane Colli, were allegedly
injured in a motor vehicle accident which occurred on August 13,
1975. Said Plaintiffs' car was alleged to have been struck from
the rear by a police car driven by Laura May, Miami Police Officer.
To date, the testimony gathered has revealed the City will probably
be liable for a rear -end -type accident. Both Plaintiffs, Lorenzo
Colli, who has filed suit, and his wife, who will file suit, allege
injuries primarily to the lower back. Medical bills seem to amount
to approximately $2,500.00 to $3,000.00. Various doctors have
given both Plaintiffs permanent disability ratings in the 5 to 10%
range. Both Plaintiffs are highly educated people and would appear
to make good witnesses.
The Plaintiffs originally demanded $25,000.00 for the injuries sus-
tained for Lorenzo Colli alone. After considerable negotiation, the
Plaintiffs have agreed to accent the sum of $10,000.00 as full and
complete satisfaction for all damages sustained by Lorenzo Colli and
also sustained by Diane Colli,
