HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem #21 - First Reading OrdinanceORDINANCE NO, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 6871, THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF MIAMI, BY CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF LOT 1, BLOCK 2, SOUTH ALLAPATTAH MANOR (16-6), AND LOT 43, BLANTON PARK (9-58), BEING APPROXIMATELY 1500 N.W. 16TH AVENUE, FROM R-3 (LOW DENSITY MULTIPLE DWELLING) TO PR (PUBLIC PARK AND RECREATIONAL USE DISTRICT), AND BY MAKING THE NECESSARY CHANGES IN THE ZONING DISTRICT MAP, MADE A PART OF THE SAID ORDINANCE NO. 6871, BY REFERENCE AND DESCRIPTION IN ARTICLE III, SECTION 2 THEREOF; THEREOFAINNG ALL CONFLIOCT, AND CONTAINING ES, CODE SECTIONS, OR PARTSCONTAINING A SEVERABILITY PROVISION. WHEREAS, the Miami Planning Advisory Board, at its meeting of July 12, 1978, Item No. 5(a), following an advertised hearing, adopted Resolution No. PAB 37-78 by a 5 to 1 vote (2 members absent) recommend- ing changing the zoning classification as hereinafter set forth; and Commission after careful consideration of this the best interest of the general its inhabitants to grant a WHEREAS, matter deems it advisable and in welfare of the City of Miami and change of zoning classification as hereinafter set forth; 'NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Ordinance No. 6871, the Comprehensive for the City of Miami be, and the same is hereby amended by changing the zoning classification of Lot 1, Block 2, SOUTH ALLAPATTAH MANOR (16-6), and Lot 43, BLANTON PARK (9-58), being approximately 1500 N.W. 16th Avenue, from R-3 (Low Density Multiple Dwelling) to PR (Public Park and Recreational Use District), and by making the necessary changes in the zoning district map made a part of the said Article III, Section Ordinance No. 6871 by reference and description in Zoning Ordinance 2 thereof. Section 2. That all laws or parts of laws in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed insofar as they are in conflict. Should any patt or provision of this Ordinance be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole.
