AT A COST OF $2, 377.50; AT A TOTAL COST OF $21,393.78; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM TI-IL 1977- 78 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET; AUTHORIZING TIIL CITY MANAGER AND THE PURCHASING AGENT TO ISSUE THE PURCHASE ORDERS FOR THESE MATERIALS,` WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received September 12, 1978 for the furnishiny of Chemicals and Fertilizer for the Department of Parks; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed and seven bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase Year Budget; and WHEREAS, these materials will be used by the Department of Parks for' the purpose of turf and shrubbery maintenance in City Parks; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Department of Parks recommend that the bids received from Atlantic Fertilizer Co., Superior Fertilizer Co., Woodbury Chemical Co., So. 11i1.1 Creek Products, Wendell -Butler Supply Co., and W. R. Grace Co. be accepted as the most advantageous bids to the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF''. MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Grassie City Manager Purchasing Agent Sept embEr/ 21 1978 • Recommendation fior Resolution and Award of Bid: Chemicals and Fertilizers . t4OLosuiiE$: Tabulation of bids, Fact Sheet and Resolution Pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were received September 12, 1978 for furnishing Chemicals and Fertilizer for the Parks Department. Invitations were mailed to twenty-four potential suppliers and seven bids were received as per attached tabulation. Funds for this purchase are available in the 1977-78 Fiscal Year Budget. The Chemicals and Fertilizer are used throughout the year in City parks as needed. It is recommended that the award be made and a resolution be passed accepting the most advantageous bids as received from Atlantic Fertilizer Co., Superior Fertilizer Co., Woodbury Chemical Co., So.
