HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-78-0650RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF JULES BROS, UNIFORMS) INC, FOR FURNISHING WORK UNIFORMS ON A CONTRACT BASIS FOR ONE YEAR CITY WIDE; AT A TOTAL COST OF $61,828.50; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM 1978-79 FISCAL YEAR OPERATING BUDGET; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE PURCHASING AGENT TO ISSUE THE PURCHASE ORDERS FOR THESE MATERIALS. WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received` September 18, 1978 for the furnishing of work uniforms on a one year for the various departments of the City. WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to twenty potential suppliers`and five bids were received; and WHEREAS, Funds for this purchase Year Operating Budget; and WHEREAS, these materials will be used by the various departments o the City for the purpose of regular replacement; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Purchasing Agent recommend that the: bid received from Jules Bros. Uniforms, Inc. be accepted as the most advantageous bid to the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: "DOCUMENT INDEX M ITforN Section 1. Mullins Purchasing Agent CArE: September 27, 1978 //I FILE" s" `cOr Recommendation for Resolution and Award of Bid: Work Uniforms REFEPI:' cL9: tycLosunt:s: Fact Sheet and Resolution and Tabulation Pursuant to Public Notice, sealed bids were received September 18, 1978 for furnishing work uniforms on a yearly contract basis for use by various City Departments. Invitations were mailed to twenty potential suppliers and five bids Were.. received as per the attached tabulation. Funds for this purchase are available in the 1 978-79 Fiscal Year Operating Budget. Work uniforms are furnished to employees in five City Departments at varying times during the year, thereby establishing the need for a yearly contract. It is recommended that the award be made and a resolution be passed accepting the most advantageous bid as received from Jules Bros. Uniforms, Inc. for furnishing work uniforms for one year at a total cost of $61,828.50. The bid specifications required that a complete set of samples be submitted with the bids.
