by the FAA on aircraft previously approved by the government,
airlines will pay two-thirds of the cost, with air passengers
and shippers paying one-third through a special funding mechan-

to be used exclusively for aircraft noise abatement; and

Dear Maurice:
As an elected official for the City of Hialeah, where
thousands of airlines employees reside, and also as the
legislative coordinator for the I.A.M.A.W. District 100,
I need your help and cooperation to introduce a resolution
for consideration to the members of the Miami Commission,
to endorse House Bills 8729 and 11986.
Enclosed you will find a copy of the one that I am intro-
ducing in Hialeah next week. Maurice, this is one of
those rare occasions in which you will find labor unions
and airline management working together. It's got to be
good for this great nation of ours!
Your immediate attention to this matter will be greatly
appreciated.
Sincerely,
CITY OF HIALEAH, FLORIDA
