WHEREAS, the Commission of The City of Miami, Florida mot on the 24 day of October, 1978, pursuant to due legal notice of said meeting under Section 56 of the City Charter, as amended to receive all written objections to the confirmation of the preliminary assessment roll for the cost of BAYCREST HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4373 in BAYCREST HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT H-4373`' on the following streets: N.E. 80 Street (between N.E. 10 Ave. and N.E. Bayshore Ct.) N.E. 83 Street (between N.E. 10 Ave. and a point 570' E. of N.E. 12 Ave. N.E. Bayshore Ct. (between N.E. 79 Street and N.E. 81 Street); and WHEREAS, no objections thereto by any person interested in, or affected by, said assessments were sustained by the Commission, and said assessment roll appeared, in all respects, regular and in accordance with the reouirements and provisions of the City Charter, as amended; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, Section 1. That the prima facie assessments, as apportioned and indicated on the preliminary assessment roll for BAYCREST HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4373 in BAYCREST HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT H-4373 be, and they are hereby, in all things, confirmed and sustained against any and all lots or parcels of "g ound descr�J . That the sums and amounts assessed against each of the lots or parcels of ground in said preliminary assessment roll are less than the amount that each of the said lots of parcels of ground is especially benefited by said improvement and that such amounts are in proportion to the special benefits that the property received. Resolution Confirming Assessment Roll (for October '4, 19978 Commission Meetii )� Construction of BAYCREST HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4373 in BAYCREST HIGIWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT H-4373 has been completed, and the Preliminary Assessment Roll for this improvement is ready to be presented to the Commission for confirmation. This improvement consisted of some clearing and grubbing of the street right of way, correction of base failures and grade deficiencies, construction of a 3" asphaltic concrete base approximately 22' wide, for necessary widening, construction of an 8" lirnerock base approximately 22' wide, a 1" asphaltic concrete surface course, asphaltic concrete parking areas, mountable curb and gutter, concrete sidewalks and modification of drainage system. The increased traffic circulation that resulted in base failures, as well as the fact that some streets were of sub -standard width and out of grade, with inadequate drainage, made this improvement necessary. A Public Hearing is scheduled for October 24, 1978 to ofno hear objections objections to confirmation of the assessment roll. are sustained, the Department of Public Works recommends the adoption of the attached resolution confirming the preliminary assessment roll for BAYCREST HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT H-4373.
