WHEREAS, Resolution 78-644, dated October 12, 1978 authorized the City
Manager to execute an agreement for the "Trade Fair of the Americas - Export
'79," allocating funds for said project from the Contingent fund, not to exceed
$200,000 and authorizing the transfer of $350,000 from the Convention Center
Bond Fund to the Trade Fair Fund on a loan basis; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 78-658, dated 10/24/78 authorizes and
directs the City Manager to establish a new Trust and Agency Fund entitled,
"Trade Fair of the Americas - Export '79," and
WHEREAS, it is estimated that revenues in the amount of $700,000 from
various governmental agencies and $625,000 in proceeds from rentals and other
activities will be received by the Trade Fair of the Americas - Export '79
project;
NGJ, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLDRIDA:
Section 1. The following Trust and Agency Fund is hereby established
and resources are hereby appropriated as described herein:
FUND TITLE: Trade Fair of the Americas - Export'79
RESOURCES: $500,000 - State, local, federal governmental
agencies
$200,000 - City of Miami- Cash Obligation
$625,000 -Revenues from rental and other Trade
Fair Activities.
APPROPRIATION: $1,325,000
Section 2, All ordinances or Farts of ordinances insofar as they are
inconsistent or in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby
repealed.
Section 3, If any section, part of section, paragraph, clause,
phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared invalid, the remaining provisions
of this ordinance shall not be affected.
