Hickman, Director, Department of Fire, authorization was received to acquire property for the relocation of Fire Station #4. This acquisition is the third of four parcels to be acquired to complete the total acquisition. The pertinent facts of this acquisition are as follows: - Appraiser: F. Robert Quinlivan - Appraised Value of Property: - Property Location - Legal Description • Owner: - Lot Size Building - Improvements Fee: $950.00 $44,600.00 1105 S. W. 2 Avenue, Miami Lot 9 Less W 10 Ft., Block 85 Miami Heights Subdivision, PB 5, at PG 29 Fernando & Juana Serra x 90' -6750 Sq. Ft. -1604 Sq. Ft. Duplex: Rear Unit: -3 Bedroom, 1 Bath, Single Family Res. -1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, Residence Funds are available for this purchase from the Fire Fighting, Fire Prevention & Rescue Facility Bond Fund to cover the cost of this acquisition. In considering this acquisition, all factors were reviewed. The fact that if the City were to institute condemnation proceedings predicated on the $47,030 offer, it was felt that attorney's fees would be at least 15":. to 20A of the asking price which would be $6,000 to $8,000 plus Court costs, and an interminable delay in the process to acquire. In addition, we must prove to the Court the need and necessity of acquiring this property for public use, which we have been denied in the past in other condemnation cases. It is recommended that this property be acquired for the negotiated price of $60,000.00. The Department of Fire concurs with this recommendation. JEG:DRS:nsm attachement: as stated cc's: George F.
