MIAMI, FLORIDA; Section 1, The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with FAUSTO GOMEZ, for his profes sionalservices as Assistant to the Mayor, for the period from January 1, 1979 through December 31, 1979, subject to the terms and conditions contained in the contract, attached hereto and made a part hereof, with $16,000 hereby allocated from Code 2001 "Office of the Mayor" from currently budgeted funds. TERM The term of this Agreement for the services of the ASSISTANT TO THE MAYOR shall be for a period of one (1) year commencing -January 1, 1.979, and terminating on December 31, 1979, subject to the right of either party hereto to cancel this contract upon giving thirty (30) days prior written notice.. II COMPENSATION A. The ASSISTANT TO THE MAYOR shall receive compensation /t. for his services at the rate of $15,000• per year, payable in equal biweekly installments. Said amount shall constitute full compen- sation to be paid the ASSISTANT TO THE MAYOR for the professional services and work product stated herein; however, it is agreed that deductions for Social Security Membership will be matched by the CITY; and it is further agreed that the CITY will deduct applicable Federal Withholding Taxes. Receive on behalf of the Mayor inquiries or complaints from private citizens; B. Prepare at the request of the Mayor, letters, memoranda, or other documents as may be required by the Mayor. If the Mayor desires, these may be prepared for the Mayor's signature. In the event the.
